Each case is staged in a chapter written by a local expert to describe and evaluate five prime examples of devoted drug treatment courts. These chapters are written to a mutual outline and each talk about the following points: community demographics; structural establishment of the court; court caseloads, including drug cases; successes and failures of primary goals and goals intended to be attained and subsequent adaptations; and measures of long-term successes and failures.
